What happens when coaching meets creativity? At the LUBM Networking Event 2025, attendees discovered how to build meaningful, authentic connections one LEGO brick at a time.
Led by Kenny Chong, Human Capital Specialist and Professional Leadership Coach, the session “The Training Hub: Build & Connect” highlighted a powerful truth: effective networking begins with self-awareness. What followed was an engaging, hands-on experience where participants turned ideas into models and conversations into real connections through four guided LEGO-based activities:
- Tower of Me: Participants built a personal “tower” representing their strengths, values, and stories.
- Networking Superpower: Attendees identified what makes them unique in building relationships and shared reflections in small groups.
- Coaching-Style Connections: Each participant connected with three new people using structured, coaching-based questions—exchanging LEGO bricks as a symbol of each new connection.
- Future Vision Build: To close, attendees created LEGO models of their ideal university and networking environment, sharing feedback and ideas for the future.
This interactive session transformed abstract networking concepts into tangible insights, helping participants connect with confidence, communicate with purpose, and grow through coaching-driven networking.
From learning to legacy, Build & Connect built more than models—it built community.
