Dress Code
The LUBM Graduation Ceremony of 2024 is defined by two things: celebrating your hard work and success and solemnly acknowledging its gravity. As such, the dress code is formal, with academic regalia (graduation gown and cap). Please stick to the dress code. Ideally, your attire should be elegant and tasteful.
Besides, your academic regalia will be dispensed across the UAE in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Graduates can collect it from convenient locations. Alternatively, students in Sharjah can also collect it from the LUBM office.
Identification and Seating
Seating spaces for the LUBM Graduation Ceremony 2024 are allotted upon registration and ticket purchase. Your seat will be assigned to you ahead of time. Upon entering the graduation hall, please make your way to the registration counter with a valid ID, like an Emirates ID or Passport Copy. Once verified, you will receive a wristband indicating that you are a part of the event. That aside, please remain seated throughout the graduation ceremony. It’s customary to treat other’s special moments like it’s important, just like your own.
Etiquette: From Cheering to Cameras
Once you are seated at the ceremony, we can get the ball rolling. And the key to this is graduation ceremony etiquette. We ask that you follow appropriate graduation etiquette so that everyone can have an equally good time. Our staff will be on hand to guide you, but here are a few things you can bear in mind.
- Please don’t disrupt the ceremony as others speak or collect their certificates.
- Put your phone on mute and avoid conversations during other graduates’ big moments.
- Stay seated for the duration of the ceremony. You probably know this, but standing on chairs or blocking others’ views during the ceremony is incredibly rude. We’d love if you could share this with your guests, too.
- Please don’t swear. We’d love to celebrate your graduation ceremony with grace and courtesy.
We want you and every other graduate to have the bright, happy evening you deserve. We will also be sharing more simple graduation etiquette tips on our socials, so keep your eyes peeled!
