Successful change is one of the biggest problems that modern organizations face. In our fast-changing world, the strategic imperative to change is often clear: Without doing things differently, our organization is unlikely to succeed, or last.

At its core, change leadership is working together to create a shared understanding of change required to execute the strategy, and how to best make it happen. But change-management research has demonstrated time after time that organizational change initiatives fail more often than they succeed, despite the resources put into creating change management processes.

About the Speaker-


Rex D. Bacarra, Ph.D. has two (2) Doctoral Degrees: Ph.D. in Management Research (Org. Dev. & HRM) and Ph.D. in Philosophy.


Courses being taught:

Culture and Ethics, Strategic HRM, Management and OB, Global Business Dynamics, Global Leadership, Business Communication, Business Ethics, Organizational Psychology and Employee Counseling, Understanding International Business Management, Business Development, and Value Creation, Leadership and Motivation in Organization, Research and Methodology, Leadership and Motivation, Compensation and Rewards Management, Humanities, and Introduction to Philosophy. To date, he is the only professor afforded with standing ovation every graduation by the students in the history of the college, with a consistent rating of 1% (1 being the highest) in terms of student feedback every semester.

He is the recipient of the OFW Bayani (Hero) Award, the highest award given to a Filipino expatriate by the Department of Foreign Affairs through the Philippine Consulate; one of the Most Influential Filipinos in the Gulf for 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 by Illustrado magazine; featured by Khaleej Times as “An Extraordinary Inspirer of Students”; profiled and featured by Abu Dhabi TV (ADTV) and ABS-CBN TFC for excellence in the field; awarded with “Educator-Innovator of the Year” by XAGA awards;” Educator of the Year” by The Filipino Times, and “Educator of the Year” by the United Federation of Fil-Am Educators, New York.

He is a former Dean of General Education and currently the Digital Faculty Consultant for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) of the global McGraw-Hill Education due to his expertise in the administration of e-learning (LMS & CMS) using the digital platforms, and also skilled in iPhone photography and graphic design.

He has written, co-authored, and presented research papers at Research Conferences and even won in October 2019 as the Best Oral Presenter for the paper, “Subjective well-being in the UAE: Perspectives and programs on happiness and positivity.” He also serves as a judge for the best research paper presenter.

His latest research, July, 2021-
-is published in a Scopus-indexed journal publication, QUARTILE 2.

He is both a Writer and a Speaker.
