Course Overview
The York St John MBA aims to recruit a diverse range of students who share a passion for Business Management. As a student on this programme you will be studying alongside others who wish to move into or further develop their careers in Business Management, from both EU/UK and other countries around the world. The programme will allow you to reflect on your already-acquired knowledge and experience of the world of work, putting theory into practice in a continuing professional development environment.
This programme is intended to develop your ability to understand the philosophies, principles and practices of continuing personal and professional development (CPPD) and lifelong learning, and is linked to your prior Masters level experience and subsequent professional experience post-graduation. Through the supported learning materials you will critically analyse and consider how you manage personal and social learning for professional development. You will be challenged to understand your own ways of thinking and learning and how this continues to develop from the MBA Conversion to inform current and future professional development. Through the learning and assessment strategy you are encouraged to develop Page 2 of 4 knowledge and skills to take ownership and responsibility for personal development that will enhance your leadership awareness and skills.

- MBA or masters from a recognised University in business or related field.
- Pre approval from University is mandatory

- Recent Passport size colour Picture
- Master’s Degree colour photocopy
- Latest CV (Professionally prepared)
- Work Experience Letter which should clearly state that English language is used as language for communication


Learning Outcome
- Demonstrate in-depth, specialist knowledge and mastery of techniques relevant to the study of opportunities and challenges of business management
- Demonstrate advanced understanding of concepts, information and techniques informed by knowledge at the forefront of the study of contemporary business issues within the context of society
- Take a proactive, independent and self- reflective role in working and developing professional relationships with others
Assessments
The assessments are well rounded consisting of academic theories, practical experience and development of soft skills like academic writing, presentations and analytical skills. These enhance your deep understanding of the subject area, and shape an individual to be leader.
All modules have a range of teaching, learning and assessment strategies including lectures, seminars, tutorials, workshops and presentations. The modules are delivered via Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) where students are encouraged to be involved with online discussions and innovative approaches to learning.
